WHY YOU SHOULD Never Buy Cosmetics on AliExpress or SHEIN

Your skin is not an experiment.

There’s something I need to tell you with complete honesty:
When you buy cosmetics from ultra-low-cost platforms like AliExpress or SHEIN, you may be applying something dangerous to your skin.

I’m not exaggerating. You could be putting on a product with no safety controls, no testing, no toxicological validation, and absolutely no one responsible if something goes wrong.

When Cheap Becomes Truly Dangerous

Recently in France, authorities had to intervene after discovering that SHEIN was selling illegal products, including sex toys designed with child-like appearance.xx
If a platform is unable to filter something that serious…

How can it possibly filter what you put on your face?

The Structural Problem No One Talks About

Most of the “cosmetics” sold on these platforms come from unverified manufacturers, often with zero compliance with the strict safety regulations required in the European Union.

What does that mean in real life?

  • No one has reviewed the formula.

  • No one has validated its safety.

  • No one is responsible if it irritates you, burns you, stains your skin, or triggers a reaction.

And when something happens… you’re left alone.
The seller disappears, the shop name changes, and there is no traceability, no accountability, no legal protection.

What a Real Cosmetic Must Have (But These Products Don’t)

Any cosmetic legally sold in Europe must have a PIF — Product Information File.
This is a complete technical dossier that includes:

  • Challenge tests to prove the product does not grow microbes.

  • Stability tests (heat, light, oxidation).

  • Packaging compatibility tests.

  • Allergen control.

  • Certificates of each raw material.

  • Supplier documentation.

  • Packaging specifications.

  • Toxicological evaluation, ingredient by ingredient, plus the final formula.

  • And finally: a qualified safety assessor who signs and certifies the product’s safety.

This is non-negotiable in the EU.
But the truth is simple: products sold on AliExpress, SHEIN and similar marketplaces almost never meet these requirements.

Some may comply with other countries’ rules…
Others don’t comply with anything at all.

What I’ve Seen in Real-World Testing

European authorities sometimes test these products — and I’ve personally seen results that are shocking:

  • Oxidized Vitamin C sold as “fresh serum”.

  • Fake sunscreen filters that offer zero UV protection.

  • Creams without preservatives, contaminated with microbes.

  • Adulterated perfumes containing ingredients banned in Europe.

  • Incorrectly dosed active ingredients that can cause chemical dermatitis.

This is not theoretical. It’s happening every day.

If You Don’t Know the Manufacturer

Don’t Put It on Your Skin**

A cosmetic should never be a mystery.
If you don’t know who makes it, where, or under what safety standards, then it has no place on your face or your body.
And I’m telling you this with absolute clarity:  Your skin is not an experiment.
Don’t risk it to save a few euros
