An olfactive beauty universe where science, scent and refillable design shape a different expression of luxury.

The Today Project brings fine fragrance, formulation science and refillable design together in one complete beauty universe. Guided by our Beauty of Restriction philosophy, we create sensorial, high-performance products using only what each formula truly needs.

WHO WE ARE

We are a new kind of beauty brand.

We are a beauty brand built on scent, formulation science and material transparency. We develop skincare, fine fragrance and daily rituals for people, homes, children and pets, applying specific criteria to each formula, user and format. We call it olfactive beauty.

OUR MISSION

We design sensorial, effective products with deliberately focused formulas and packaging intended to be kept and refilled where compatible refills are available. We remove what does not serve a clear function and explain our formulation and material choices openly.

OUR VISION

We believe in a quieter form of luxury: precise formulas, memorable scent and objects designed for continued use. Our vision is to make refill a normal part of beauty, while describing environmental benefits through specific, verifiable information rather than broad labels.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

A laboratory table with glassware, including a round-bottom flask, test tubes, and dropper bottles, along with dried flowers, an open book, and a notebook.

OLFACTIVE SKINCARE

We smell before we touch. We feel through scent before we see.
Fragrance is our first language — and in our universe, it becomes the starting point of care.
We create skincare, bodycare and homecare where scent is integrated from the beginning, not layered on at the end.

THE BEAUTY OF RESTRICTION

We work with a deliberately limited palette of ingredients across all our creations.
This is not a limitation — it's a radical design decision.
We screen materials against our internal Restricted Substances Standard, taking account of regulatory status, safety assessment, environmental-fate data and the intended use of each finished product. The standard is a voluntary brand criterion, not an official certification.

DESIGNED FOR PURPOSE

Packaging should protect the formula and serve the way the product is used. We favour refillable primary containers, avoid unnecessary secondary packaging and identify materials by component. Where plastic remains necessary for pumps, liners, coatings or refill pouches, we say so.

Luxury, to us, is what stays—not what gets thrown away.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Our principles guide everything we do — from formula to fragrance, from lab to home

MEANINGFUL SCIENCE

Evidence-based. Clinically guided.

We formulate with clinical precision, selecting active ingredients based on their proven performance, safety, and skin compatibility. Science is our foundation—measurable, meaningful.

DOCUMENTED CHOICES

Formula by formula. Component by component.

Natural-origin content is calculated per finished formula. Biodegradability data is described with its method and scope. Refillable packaging is identified only where a compatible refill is available, and packaging materials are stated by component.

INTENTIONAL SENSORIALITY

Fragrance with function, not just flair.

We create through the senses. Fragrance, texture, temperature, and atmosphere are not additions—they are the medium. Our products are designed to feel, not just to function.

RADICAL TRANSPARENCY

What’s inside is always visible.

We believe trust begins with clarity. Our ingredients, processes, and principles are shared openly—because what you don’t see is just as important as what you do.

FUNCTIONAL DESIGN

No excess. Just enough.

Our packaging starts with function: protecting the formula, supporting repeated use where possible and avoiding components that do not serve a clear purpose. Material and end-of-life information varies by format and is provided without treating recyclability as a guarantee of actual recycling.

WHY WE DO IT

Because the beauty industry must change.
Because we are tired of waste, superficiality and opacity.
Because we want to leave something better behind.
We believe in a kind of luxury that is invisible — but unmistakable.
And we believe every decision matters.

We create beauty through formulation discipline, olfactive imagination and material transparency. If you value performance, clarity and elegance without unnecessary excess, this project is also yours.

A Personal Note — From the Founder

After more than 25 years in cosmetic formulation, I had learned that regulatory compliance was only the starting point. If I wanted to create products with a a more restrictive internal formulation standard, I had to anticipate restrictions, question every material and use only what each formula truly needed.

When I sold my former laboratory, I knew my next project had to begin with fragrance—an extraordinary world that still felt opaque to me from a regulatory perspective. I studied perfume technology to understand its raw materials, toxicology and creative possibilities. Only then did I decide to build an entire beauty universe around scent.

Over the last five years, I have developed fragrances and complete product lines for luxury hospitality, translating olfactive identities into products for skin, bath and interior spaces.

That is how The Today Project was born: fine fragrance, formulation science and refillable design, developed as one system—and never at any price.
